Yes. Members can put their memberships on hold for a prepaid fee of $15 per month for the first two months and $25 per month for the next two months. Please email to confirm any holds.

You will never be asked to do anything you do not want to do or cannot do due to injury. If you, depending on the nature of your injuries, are not able to participate in certain classes/activities, we will do our best to recommend a class that won’t aggravate any pre-existing injuries, or our instructors will modify the exercises/techniques so that you are able to get a great, safe workout.

The LAB is proud to offer a full slate of classes from 9am-8:30pm Monday to Friday, as well as 9am-1pm Saturday. Check out our full schedule here! We are also open for private lessons during periods with no scheduled class times.

Absolutely. The principles you’ll learn in any of our BJJ, MMA, boxing, or kickboxing classes are all excellent for self-defense. Further, we routinely offer free women’s self-defense seminars as well as children’s anti-bullying seminars. Anyone looking to learn self-defense in Phoenix would be wise to check us out!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a ground-fighting art that focuses on using leverage and techniques such as joint locks and chokes to control opponents. BJJ is highly effective, allowing smaller persons to overcome strength disadvantages through technique and leverage.
